CAD Designer - Panelization (CAD & SolidBuilder Software)

We are seeking a skilled CAD Designer with expertise in SolidBuilder to join our panelization team. The ideal candidate will create detailed, accurate 2D and 3D drawings and models for panelized construction projects. This role requires strong technical skills, an understanding of panelization processes, and the ability to translate architectural blueprints into production-ready designs. 

Full/Part Time

• Design and Modeling: Use CAD and SolidBuilder to create precise 2D and 3D models for panelized components, including wall, floor, and roof panels.
• Blueprint Interpretation: Interpret architectural and structural blueprints to ensure design accuracy and adherence to project specifications.
• Detailed Drawings: Generate shop drawings and fabrication details, including layout, dimensions, and material specifications.
• Project Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, production, and project management teams to confirm design intent and adjust drawings as needed.
• Quality Control: Review and revise designs to maintain high standards of quality, functionality, and compliance with industry codes and standards.
• File Management: Organize, maintain, and update project files and drawings for easy access by the production team and project stakeholders.
• Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve design processes and optimize the use of SolidBuilder and CAD software for greater efficiency.
• Problem Solving: Provide technical solutions and modifications in response to production challenges or project-specific requirements.

• Experience: 3+ years of experience in CAD design, preferably with a focus on panelized or prefabricated construction.
• Software Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in CAD software and SolidBuilder; knowledge of additional design programs is a plus.
• Construction Knowledge: Strong understanding of panelization, prefabrication, and structural design principles.
• Attention to Detail: High level of precision in drafting and modeling, with a keen eye for accuracy in measurements and specifications.
• Communication: Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and present information clearly.
• Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to troubleshoot and resolve design-related issues effectively.
• Education: Associate's or Bachelor’s degree in architectural drafting, engineering, or related field preferred.
