Logistics Coordinator - Panelization

Job Summary

We are seeking a proactive Logistics Coordinator to manage the flow of materials and products for our panelization projects. This role involves coordinating shipments, overseeing inventory, and ensuring timely delivery to clients and job sites. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, experience in logistics or supply chain management, and a familiarity with construction or manufacturing environments.

Responsibilities

  • Shipment Coordination: Plan and schedule shipments to ensure timely and accurate delivery of panelized products to job sites and clients.
  • Inventory Management: Track and manage inventory levels, coordinating with production and procurement teams to maintain stock and reduce waste.
  • Vendor Relations: Work closely with transportation providers, negotiate rates, and ensure adherence to delivery timelines and quality standards.
  • Documentation: Prepare and manage shipping documents, delivery schedules, and inventory records, ensuring all information is accurate and accessible.
  • Communication: Maintain clear and consistent communication with internal teams, clients, and vendors to provide updates and resolve any logistical issues.
  • Problem Solving: Address and resolve any delivery issues, such as delays or damaged goods, and work with vendors to quickly resolve problems.
  • Compliance: Ensure that all shipments comply with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as company safety and quality standards.
  • Reporting: Monitor and report on logistical performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement to optimize efficiency and reduce costs.

Requirements

  • Experience: 2+ years of experience in logistics, supply chain, or a similar role, preferably within the construction or manufacturing industry.
  • Knowledge: Familiarity with logistics software and inventory management systems; knowledge of panelized or prefabricated construction is a plus.
  • Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Problem-Solving: Effective problem-solving skills, with the ability to adapt quickly to changing circumstances and resolve logistical challenges.
  • Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to coordinate effectively with both internal teams and external partners.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field is a plus.
