Inside and Outside Sales Representative - Panelization

Job Summary

We are looking for a dynamic and driven Inside and Outside Sales Representative to join our team, specializing in panelized construction solutions. This role involves managing client relationships, generating new business opportunities, and providing technical expertise to customers in both the office and field. The ideal candidate will have a background in construction sales, strong communication skills, and an understanding of panelized or prefabricated construction.

Responsibilities

 Inside Sales Duties:

  • Customer Service: Act as the primary point of contact for inquiries, providing product information, pricing, and technical support to customers.
  • Sales Support: Develop proposals, quotes, and sales presentations tailored to clients’ needs and project specifications.
  • Order Management: Process orders, coordinate with production teams, and monitor project timelines to ensure on-time delivery.
  • Client Retention: Build and maintain relationships with current clients to ensure high levels of satisfaction and repeat business.
  • Market Research: Analyze customer needs, industry trends, and competitors to identify potential sales strategies and areas for growth.


Outside Sales Duties:

  • Lead Generation: Identify and pursue new business opportunities through networking, cold-calling, attending industry events, and conducting site visits.
  • Client Meetings: Meet with potential clients on job sites, discuss project requirements, and conduct product demonstrations to showcase panelization benefits.
  • Relationship Building: Establish and strengthen relationships with builders, developers, architects, and other key decision-makers.
  • Project Consultation: Offer technical guidance and product knowledge to clients, helping them understand the benefits and applications of panelized construction.
  • Sales Forecasting: Track and report sales metrics, prepare forecasts, and contribute to strategic sales planning.

Requirements

  •  Experience: 3+ years of experience in construction sales, preferably with a focus on panelized, prefabricated, or modular construction.
  • Knowledge: Solid understanding of panelized construction methods, benefits, and product offerings.
  • Sales Skills: Proven ability to generate leads, negotiate contracts, and close deals effectively.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to present and explain technical information to clients.
  • Customer Focus: Strong commitment to customer satisfaction, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Technical Aptitude: Ability to interpret blueprints, project specifications, and construction terminology.
  • Travel Ability: Willingness to travel locally or regionally for client meetings and site visits.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in business, construction management, or related field is a plus.
